Step 1: Brush out the hair nicely. Then spray the hair down with the clean water.

Braiding Basics, How to Dutch BraidStep 2: Then at the top of the head gather a part of hair and then split it into 3 equal sized pieces.

Braiding Basics, How to Dutch BraidStep 3: Next take the right most hair piece and then move it just under the piece you are holding in the middle. That way it can become the next middle piece.

Braiding Basics, How to Dutch BraidStep 4: Now grab the left most hair piece and then move it under the piece that you are holding in the middle. That way it can now become the middle piece.

Braiding Basics, How to Dutch BraidStep 5: Now to your right most piece add a part of hair and pull the hair from the face up at a diagonal to just where you are braiding. Soon as you have added hair to the right most piece then move it just under the middle.

Braiding Basics, How to Dutch BraidStep 6: Now to your left most piece, add a part of hair and pull the hair from the face up at a diagonal. When you have added the hair to that left most hair piece then move it just under the middle piece.

Braiding Basics, How to Dutch BraidStep 7: Until you have braided all the way down repeat steps 4 and then 5 to the back of the head.

Step 8: Now check the hair to see if there is any loose ends.
