Step 1; First part the hair off to the one side. Then at the front side pick up a part of hair. Now split it into three equal pieces. Now start the waterfall braid just like you starting a French braid and bring the lower piece over the middle and then the upper piece that over the middle.

Step 2; Then on the bottom side just drop that very strand. And replace that hair strand by picking up a new part of hair from behind where you dropped it and then braid that part of hair over the middle strand.

Step 3; Add in a small part of the hair on the top side and to the top piece that you are braiding and just as you would do in a French braid. Now down over the middle braid that top hair strand.

Step 4; Now keep on repeating this process. Then on the bottom side of the braid once again drop the hair strand and then replace it by picking up a new part of the hair from behind that where you dropped it. At this point make sure that you do not pick the new part up from lower and than the line the braid that following or your style would not look quite right when you are done.  Remember it’s also important to make sure that each new part that you are adding in on the bottom is about to be same width.

Step 5; At this point you want braid to stay on one side of the head so that you can create the side swept look. So you need to tilt your head so that way hair can falls in the direction that you want it to lie. Now to add in to the top side of the braid pick up a part on top. Now you need to be sure that the hair in the back is laying nicely. For this you need to take your time and tilt your head and then let gravity help pull the hair into a place that is natural for it to lay. And then just pick it up and then add it into the braid.

Step 6; Soon as you run out of hair to add into the braid then just stop dropping hair strands. Keep the 3 hair strands and braid out couple stitches of a regular three strand braid and now secure the hair with an hair elastic. Next, take and then wrap that little braid and elastic up and then just under the style and now pin it in place. You can use 2 bobby pins and you can make sure that they cross so that they will not slide out of the place.

Step 7; As a final step just touch up the curls if you needed and then finish the style with hairspray.
