Step By Step Instructions

Twisted Edge Fishtail ComboStep 1: Start with hair in a high ponytail and optionally you can add a fun accent braid or some twist leading into the ponytail.

Twisted Edge Fishtail ComboStep 3: Now from the outer left part take a small hair strand and then cross it over the rest of the left hair strand and then add it into the right part and then do the same thing on the right side. As you know these 2 steps are very necessary to create a regular fishtail braid stitch.

Twisted Edge Fishtail ComboStep 4: Then, from the outer right part take a similar small hair strand and then you can have your daughter hold it with her right hand.

Twisted Edge Fishtail ComboStep 6: Then from the outer right hair strand take a piece of hair and then cross it over the rest of the right hair strand and add it into the left part.

Twisted Edge Fishtail ComboStep 7: And then, from the outer left hair strand similarly take a piece of hair and then cross it over the rest of the left hair strand and add it into the right part. That way you will complete the 2nd regular fishtail braid.

Twisted Edge Fishtail ComboStep 10: From the outer left part take another small part of hair. But this time trade it with the piece that your daughter is holding in her left hand and then take it under the new part.

Step 12: Complete a regular fishtail braid.

Step 14: Then add the last 2 pieces of twisted edge at the end of the braid, into the regular fishtail and then secure the hair with a hair elastic.

Step 15: If you want you can leave the braid that way it is or you can just wrap it up into a bun shape and to secure in place you can use bobby pins.
